New Garden Icon for Garden Marlborough

With a perfectly framed view stretching across Te Koko-o-Kupe / Cloudy Bay, Paripuma has evolved over the last 20 years from a barren, windswept beachfront to a large native garden based on formal lines that provides a habitat for wildlife. With a beautiful perennial garden added to enhance that habitat, Paripuma is a Marlborough Environment Landscape Award winner.

Altimarloch Garden

Alastair and Jessica Midgley

Altimarloch is a charming property overlooking the Awatere River, that is evolving into an expansive arboretum. Established in 1856, it features a rambling country garden with original trees, a meandering creek and a tranquil lake. Under the care of Alastair and Jessica Midgley, hundreds of trees and a vibrant rhododendron terrace have enhanced the garden’s beauty and diversity.
