Capture Incredible Images Easily with your Smartphone

Do you want to capture that perfect digital photo of an intense bloom or your holiday visit to a fabulous garden?

Would you love to know how to use the photo settings on your smartphone with ease? With expert advice your photo compositions could go from drab to fab.

Help is at hand with a practical workshop led by talented fine art photographer and lecturer Helen McLeod. Designed to help you take inspiring photos on your smartphone, Helen will discuss composition, different ways to see the natural world, and how to put your own slant on your photography using special features. She will show you how to download and use the free photo-editing app Snapseed (for both Android and Apple) to make your photos the envy of your family and friends.

Digital photography is also an excellent tool for recording information. This could be tracking seasonal changes in the garden, creating a stunning visual diary or recording subsurface work like irrigation and drainage when our memories fail us.

Helen regularly tutors in all things photography and holds a Fellowship with the Photographic Society of NZ, an Associateship with the Royal Photographic Society and a Gold Portfolio Distinction with the Photographic Society of America. She is incredibly skilled and ready to share her knowledge with you in an easy and relatable way.

Bring your phone to the workshop and get ready to create stunning photographs that will inspire. You will leave more phone-camera savvy and less dependent on the teenagers!

Workshop limited to 20 people per class.
