Dan Rutherford

Celebrated lighting and landscape designer Dan Rutherford will show you a completely different approach to lighting your garden, letting you add night time drama, contrast and texture without spending a fortune.

During a two-hour workshop in an established local garden you’ll learn techniques like up lighting, strip lighting and skew lighting, all in a real garden setting. Experience a hands-on demonstration, showing how you can integrate lighting with garden and home structures including sculptures, fences, trees, plants and even bundles of sticks.

Dan Rutherford is the winner of the Supreme Lighting Award and several consecutive gold medals at the Ellerslie Garden Show, along with the People’s Choice award at the Singapore Garden Festival. Creative garden designs, exceptional workmanship and a passion for gardens has earned Dan Rutherford a leading reputation in Christchurch and beyond.
